‘Heartfelt condolences’ after former Mayor of Ludlow dies

Tributes have been paid to a former mayor of Ludlow who has died.
Marie Glaze was elected mayor of the town in 2007 and spent 15 years serving Ludlow as a town councillor.
In a statement, Ludlow Town Council said it was “deeply saddened” by her death
“Marie dedicated 15 years of service to the town as a Town Councillor,” the town council said. “She was a committed and passionate advocate for Ludlow and took great pride in serving the community she cared so deeply about.
“In 2007, Marie was elected Mayor of Ludlow, a role she undertook with great pride. During her mayoral year, she was a familiar and welcoming presence at community events, supporting local organisations and representing the town with enthusiasm.
“Marie made a lasting contribution to Ludlow through her many years of public service. Ludlow Town Council extends its heartfelt condolences to Marie’s family and friends at this very sad time. Our thoughts are with them.”
