Glass door smashed in attempted burglary near Market Drayton

Would-be burglars smashed part of a glass door at a domestic garage in an attempt to break in.

The attempted burglary at a house in Mill Green, near Market Drayton, was discovered on April 17, and police said the glass was broken between 11.30am and 5.45pm that day.

They found no evidence that anyone had gained entry to the building, which is used as a garage and workshop.

A West Mercia Police statement said: "If you have information that you believe may be in connection to this or any further incidents, please contact the police on 101, quoting incident reference number 0605s of April 17.

"Remain vigilant around your area and report suspicious persons, vehicles or activity to the police on 101."
