Enquiries ongoing into Ellesmere stabbing

Enquiries are still ongoing after a teenager was stabbed in Ellesmere earlier this month.

A 19-year-old man was injured in the incident which took place in New Wharf Road, at about 12.45am on September 8.

Police today confirmed no arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

The teen was sitting in a stationary vehicle when he was approached by an unknown man who punched him. He later realised he had suffered a stab wound and received hospital treatment for his injuries.

A spokeswoman said the man had now been discharged from hospital.
