Man questioned over 'homophobic chanting' outside Shropshire pub

A man is helping police with their inquiries over alleged homophobic chanting outside a Shropshire pub.

The man, aged in his 20s, has been interviewed in relation to an incident near the Boars Head, in Bishops Castle, on July 14.

West Mercia Police spokeswoman Eleanor Harris said: "A man in his 20s has voluntary attended a police station and been interviewed under caution for a section 4 public order offence (hate crime).

"We are awaiting a decision from the Crown Prosecution Service."
