Drugs raid police smash in door at Shrewsbury house

Police smashed in the door of a Shrewsbury home as part of a drugs bust.

The town's safer neighbourhood team, Shropshire's operational patrol unit and the criminal investigation department carried out a search warrant at a house in Albert Road, Sundorne, on Thursday evening.

Drugs were seized by police and have been sent for forensic testing. No arrests were made at the time.

Police appealed for anyone with information to come forwards.

Inspector Ed Hancox said: "Officers carried out a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 in Albert Road, Shrewsbury, yesterday evening.

"Items were seized at the address by officers and have been sent for forensic testing. No arrests were made but enquiries are ongoing.
