Bail denied in Alethea Taylor case

A judge today refused to grant bail to a 60-year-old Shropshire man accused of murdering his wife who vanished six months ago.

A judge today refused to grant bail to a 60-year-old Shropshire man accused of murdering his wife who vanished six months ago.

Funeral director John Taylor, of Orleton, near Ludlow, is charged with murdering wife Alethea.

The case was adjourned to October 8 for a plea hearing.

Taylor's trial is expected to take place next February.
