Warm weather ahead as sunshine and moderate temperatures predicted for Shropshire

The warm weather is set to continue as the Met Office predicts average temperatures ahead.

High pressures are set to bring more moderate temperatures to Shropshire as we face more sunshine in the week ahead.

Bank holiday Monday promises to remain dry for the rest of the day as the region experiences sporadic clouds, interspaced with sunnier weather developing in the afternoon.

The update from the Met Office comes following a 'mini-heatwave' for much of the UK, with many in Shropshire choosing to head to their favourite sunspots to make the most of the sunshine.

This week promises to be slightly cooler, but still offers enough sunshine to take part in a little sunbathing.

Met Office deputy chief meteorologist, Tony Wisson, said: "We expect cooler temperatures as the front pushes south. This cooler air will also help introduce isolated showers across the eastern parts, but it should stay drier further west."

The outlook for later in the week predicts patchy clouds on Tuesday, with a light wind in the day before turning into a generally cooler night.

The Met Office said: "The remainder of the week will see high pressure dominating. It will stay dry with sunshine at times. Though a breeze develops again, temperatures will be on the warm side."
