The latest rankings of the UK's 'best places to live' have been released - here's what took the top spots in Shropshire.
This month, Garrington Property Finders have released their ranking of the Best Places to Live for 2025 across England and Wales.
Their data analysts have identified nearly 1,450 cities, towns and villages across England and Wales that all score highly in at least one of five selection criteria – natural beauty, wellbeing, schools and jobs, heritage and value for money.
The home counties have led the way this year, with Redbourn in Hertfordshire and Epson in Surrey taking first and second place.
In Shropshire last year, the list put Broseley in first place, at 116th place overall, beating off Ludlow (260), Telford (359) and Shrewsbury (797).
This year - there have been some dramatic changes, so we've taken a look through the data to find out where the company now considers to be the best places to live in Shropshire.

Coming in at first place - Shropshire's "prettiest place" - Ludlow. The historic town was given a ranking of 177th in the country, ranking highly (65) for "natural environment" and "wellbeing" (130). Somewhat surprisingly, the historic foodie-hub was put in 246th place for heritage and culture.
