A consultation is currently underway that would see the speed limit changed on the B5062 in Roden, between Shrewsbury and Telford.
The changes, proposed by Telford & Wrekin Council, would see a stretch of the road which leads into Roden from Haughton, currently a national speed limit zone, reduced to 50mph.
The speed limit would then change to 40mph on the approach to the centre of the hamlet, replacing part of the 30mph zone currently in place.
It is part of a wider package of traffic calming measures proposed for Roden after concerns were raised by residents, ward members and Ercall Magna Parish Council about the speed of vehicles travelling through Roden.
The consultation is open until February 28, and is available to view online at consultation.appyway.com/telford-and-wrekin.
