The pedestrian, said to be a young girl by police, was not thought to have been seriously hurt after colliding with the bus on Ditherington Road, one of the main routes into the town centre from the north, at about 3.20pm today.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said an ambulance checked the girl at the scene.
"Initial reports suggest she suffered minor cuts and bruises," he said.
The road was blocked while the accident, at the junction with Mount Pleasant Road, was dealt with, which caused heavy congestion around the north of Shrewsbury in the lead up to rush hour.
