Tributes paid to former Much Wenlcok pub boss
Tributes have been paid to the popular former proprietor of a Much Wenlock pub.

Virginia Sheldon, who ran the Gaskell Arms Hotel, died at her home on January 20, following a long illness. She was 84.
Mr Sheldon, who was known as Jean, was born in the mining village of Maerdy, south Wales, before her family moved to the Midlands for work.
She worked at Kalamazoo Business Systems in Birmingham, but when she married her husband, Maurice, in 1954, they opened two shops.
When supermarkets appeared the couple decided to change businesses and moved to The Stork Hotel, now the Barford House, in Much Wenlock.
In 1980 they bought the Gaskell Arms, which Mrs Sheldon's daughter, Maxine, said went on to become her "pride and joy".
She said: "She gave her heart and soul to making it the special place it is today.
"She met many interesting people along the way from all over the world during her 40 years in Much Wenlock and her life was never dull.
"Mum was blessed with excellent and devoted staff and valued customers, for which we are immensely grateful.
"She made many friends during her time in Much Wenlock with her wonderful kind nature and her wicked sense of humour.
"Mum was passionate about the Gaskell Arms Hotel and made sure everything was to a high standard, from the hotel furnishings to her lovely garden.
"We all miss seeing her in smart designer outfits, her lovely smile and seeing her sat in her usual seat by the fire."
Mrs Sheldon is survived by her daughter Maxine, son Ross, and grandchildren Robbie and Rocco.
The funeral service was held yesterday at Emstrey Crematorium, in Shrewsbury.
It was family flowers only but donations were taken for the Severn Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support.
