Big BenLETTER: On February 27, 2009 there is to be a draft Bill launched in Parliament for new laws for adults and children with asperger's syndrome and autism.

We need as many MPs to support this new Autism Bill, as it will change a lot of structures in the NHS.

At present adults and children with asperger's and autism, don't receive a great deal of help. Autonomy and all its members are seeking changes in the laws to get better funding and help in getting a diagnosis for any kind of autistic spectrum disorder.

We are always getting into difficulties, even when some of our members are taking photos of funfairs. Those with autism of any form also need autism cards. This would show that autistic behaviour is acceptable in our modern times.

Neurotypical people don't understand our eccentric and rare talents. Most people would brag about having a single interest or talent.

If anyone has asperger's or autism without realising it, then they should have the access to facilities and services. These services are supposed to be funded by the Government, but somehow the money doesn't reach those intended places.

That is why MPs like Cheryl Gillan want better services for adults and children with any form of autism. Change is coming, but slowly!

This Autism Bill is vital for the better development of Great Britain. And hopefully one day we will see a great disabled female Prime Minister, and one that has great listening skills!
