UK troops should go home

I have stated several times in the past three years that the only way the British would get out of Afghanistan and Iraq would be in backing out when the Americans back out, like they did in Vietnam.

Unfortunately the time has now come when the Americans get themselves out.

Not the American soldiers or the American people. It is the American government that will get out of this situation.

They will run away to save face from a situation that they should have known they would never win.

Now we had all better hope and pray that our prime minister is man enough to admit his terrible mistake and get our troops out of these countries before the Americans do.

Otherwise, if the British are left to fight a rearguard action to let the Americans out first, we will never get out.

Never, in a most glorious history, have British soldiers backed out of any military conflict.

And all the MPs of all parties who still support Tony Blair in this terrible, illegal fiasco should suffer the same fate as our young soldiers suffer.
