Shropshire charities invited to apply for grants of up to £20,000
Severn Trent Community Fund opens new round of funding to help support local services making a difference in Shropshire
Charities and not-for-profit organisations in Shropshire can apply for grants of up to £20,000 to help cover essential running costs.
Severn Trent's latest Community Fund round offers grants of between £5,000 and £20,000 to help local groups continue delivering vital services. The funding will cover core costs over 12 months, with around 25 organisations across the region expected to benefit.
Applications opened on November 2 and close on November 30.
The funding can be used towards essential expenses including staffing, rent and utilities, administration, accountancy, fundraising and governance.
Organisations must be charities or not-for-profit groups providing vital services to local residents, particularly those supporting vulnerable people.
Recent Shropshire recipients of the Community Fund's Core Funding include Little Stars, Shropshire Peer Counselling & Advocacy Service, Bridgnorth Community First Responders and Parental Education Growth Support.
Natalie Cunningham, Severn Trent Community Fund manager, said: "Local charities and community groups play a vital role in bringing people together, supporting those in need and creating stronger communities.
"Yet many organisations are having to do more with less as financial pressures continue to grow.
"By providing dedicated funding, we're helping groups cover essential running costs, support their volunteers and staff, and ensure they can continue making a real difference where it's needed most."
Applications for the Core Funding programme can be made through the Severn Trent website.
Severn Trent's Community Fund also offers New Project funding, for which applications remain open throughout the year.
