The Scottish TV presenter, 66, announced that her show would not go to air today.

Lorraine Kelly’s show has been pulled from the ITV schedule after a “power outage”.

The Scottish TV presenter, 66, announced that her show would not go to air today – while This Morning and Loose Women are airing pre-recorded segments.

Sitting in the back of a car, Kelly filmed herself while sharing the update.

She said: “Hello there. I’m on my way to work but there’s been a little bit of a hoohah.

“There’s a power outage at the studio, so my show won’t be on today, but you can still watch GMB.

“They are going to fix it around 11 o’clock-ish, so This Morning will still be on as well, just a little bit later.”

She added: “It’s a bit of a shame. I was really looking forward to talking to Sharleen Spiteri from (the band) Texas. We shall reschedule, and it’ll all be fine, and I will see you tomorrow. OK, bye.”

Spiteri, a Scottish singer, was due on the show to promote the band’s new single, Another Way To Cry, as well as their 30th anniversary tour.

“These things happen. Can’t be helped. See you tomorrow,” Kelly also captioned her post.

This Morning is currently on air, with a message on screen alerting viewers: “This programme is pre-recorded.”

During Good Morning Britain, host Susanna Reid said that while they would “normally find out what Lorraine’s got in store”, that would not be happening on Wednesday’s episode.

“An event has occurred,” her co-host Ed Balls said, with Reid then also confirming the power outage in the Lorraine studio.

“Lorraine is not on air today. But we’re here until 10 o’clock,” Reid added.

After GMB was extended for an extra 30 minutes, the presenter joked that she hoped the production team “have got plenty to fill the space”.

Kelly has hosted her eponymous programme since 2010.

She also previously presented on GMB, GMTV, This Morning and Daybreak.

Earlier this year, ITV announced a number of scheduling changes, including reducing Kelly’s morning programme from one hour to 30 minutes, and airing 30 weeks out of 52 from 2026.

On weeks when the show is not on air, Good Morning Britain airs for an extra half-hour, from 6am to 10am.

Speaking to the Press Association, Kelly previously said: “My show is now only 30 weeks a year, and it’s only half an hour now, and so I’ve got much more time.

“It’s actually worked out really well, because the balance now that I have is really doable.”

Kelly, who is also a writer, said the changes had meant she has had more time to write and recently published her second novel, The Island Secret, a sequel to her 2024 debut, The Island Swimmer.
