Olympic champion Jessica Ennis-Hill has given birth to her second child.

Ennis-Hill, who retired from athletics after the 2016 Rio Olympics, announced the news on Instagram on Sunday night.

She posted: “Reggie meeting his beautiful baby sister Olivia Ennis-Hill, she was born Saturday night. We are all so in love with her.”

The 31-year-old, who won heptathlon gold at London 2012, had her first child, son Reggie, in 2014 before returning to action in style, topping the podium at the World Championships in Beijing less than 12 months after resuming training.

She had to settle for second spot in Brazil last summer, behind Belgium’s Nafissatou Thiam, and announced her retirement shortly afterwards.
