Santi Bueno’s Wolves future in limbo after EFL squad omission
The Wolves defender has been left out of their 25-man EFL squad.
Santi Bueno is not any closer to landing a move away from Wolves - despite being left out of Cesar Peixoto’s 25-man EFL squad on Tuesday.

The Uruguayan international defender remained at Molineux beyond the English transfer deadline, but may yet depart abroad with a number of foreign windows still open.
He will need to find a move elsewhere following his omission, or else risk not playing until at least January.
Bueno had been an unused substitute in each of Wolves’ opening four league games, but was left out of the squad altogether for their 2-2 draw against Birmingham City at St Andrew’s on Sunday.
Traore registered after Wolves arrival

Peixoto had already been at the maximum of 25 senior players and needed to create space for the addition of their latest recruit Bertrand Traore.
The Burkina Faso winger was another notable absentee from the squad, although the Express & Star understands he has now been registered.
The reason he had not been initially included was because the squad list had been submitted before he signed for the club on Monday.
Traore, who played 62 times for Villa between 2020 and 2023, agreed a one-year contract at Molineux earlier this week.
Bueno joined from Spanish La Liga outfit Girona for £8.5million in August 2023 and has made 85 appearances during his three years at Wolves, scoring four goals and setting up three more.
At the time, Bueno penned a five-year deal with the Old Gold, which still has two years remaining.
The 27-year-old was voted Wolves’ player of the season for 2025/26, after establishing himself as one of their standout performers despite relegation from the Premier League.
In total, Bueno played 34 times in all competitions last term - including 29 in the Premier League -registering four goals and two assists.
