Top scorer Diogo Jota says confidence is sky high after Wolves got back to winning ways.

Jota netted the opening goal in a 4-0 win at Burton on Saturday – Wolves' biggest away victory in the league for 12 years.

It moved Nuno Espirito Santo's team to second in the Championship before a two-week international break, during which Jota will travel with Portugal Under-21s to Bosnia.

The 20-year-old Atletico Madrid said he's enjoying his football in a winning team.

"There's a lot of confidence," he said."We are now a team – I think that is clear to everyone.

"Everyone that was already here helped us settle in.

"After losing a game (2-0 to Sheffield United in midweek) it is good to have another one in just a few days. It was a good opportunity to win again quickly. Now with the break it is good for the coach to train us for the next series of games."

Jota's goal against the Brewers was his sixth for Wolves, putting him joint-second in the Championship top scorers list behind Bristol City's Bobby Reid and Hull's Jarrod Bowen.

The Portuguese forward, though, played down his contribution, saying: "Normally I don't think (about) how many goals I will score.

"I am happy to have done that but what is important is helping the team. When I arrived I knew a few things about the Championship but playing is another thing. I feel very well playing here and I want to keep going.

"I expected hard games, in Portugal sometimes you do not have the intensity. All of the games are very difficult, but of course we want to have more games like this.

"It is a lot more physical. Portugal is more tactical. It is good for me, I am young, and I have already played a tactical game and now a physical game, it is good for my growth as a player.

"We want to give the Championship a different (style) but we know sometimes we must compete with this kind of team, and it is what we will do.

"We want to always give our best to the fans and to keep going and keep improving. I know that they enjoyed this game, with the support they (the fans) are giving to the team we have a good future I hope."
