As it happened: Shrewsbury Town suffer defeat at Fleetwood Town
Build-up and live updates from across the afternoon at Highbury Stadium as Shrewsbury Town take on Fleetwood Town.
Welcome to our build-up and live coverage of Shrewsbury Town’s lunchtime clash with Fleetwood Town.
Town return to the Fylde Coast looking to bounce back from a midweek thrashing at Rochdale, with just one win from their opening four league games making for a testing start to the campaign.
Just as they did last weekend, after defeat to Fleetwood in the EFL Cup, Salop need a response. It was only 11 days ago that Town were beaten 4-0 here at Highbury - and they will be desperate to avoid another afternoon to forget.
They will certainly hope the Captain Pugwash theme tune goal music does not become a recurring soundtrack here.
