Shrewsbury Town loanee Charlie Colkett recovering from foot injury at Chelsea
Shrewsbury Town’s on-loan Chelsea midfielder Charlie Colkett is recovering from a minor foot injury at his parent club.
The 22-year-old has not started in League One since the opening day and found himself down the pecking order in John Askey’s central midfield options.
He picked up the knock on his foot in training, thus missing the midweek Checkatrade Trophy rout over Tranmere.
He is back with the Stamford Bridge club receiving treatment.
The injury is not serious, but Colkett is not in contention for Saturday’s trip to Fleetwood.
He joins Abo Eisa, who is returning to training next week, on the Salop injury list. Aaron Amadi-Holloway has fully recovered from the injury sustained at Walsall.
