'Watching everything' - Gavin Cowan reacts as Brad Friedel spotted at Shrewsbury Town
It is understood a Shrewsbury Town takeover is at an advanced stage.
Shrewsbury Town boss Gavin Cowan expects prospective buyers to be watching everything around the club while negotiations are ongoing.

It is understood talks are at a very advanced stage for United States businessman Scott Davidson to complete a takeover from long-serving chairman of 30 years Roland Wycherley.
Former Premier League and US international goalkeeper Brad Friedel is the high-profile sporting figure in the consortium and attended Tuesday’s dramatic 2-1 victory over Everton under-21s at Croud Meadow.
Friedel was spotted and photographed in the directors’ box at Croud Meadow. He has received the green light from the independent football regulator, as has Davidson and fellow prospective directors Craig Graham and Will Dotson.
"I didn't see him,” Cowan said when asked of Friedel’s attendance. “If I had have done it would've been lovely.
"I'm obviously not sure what the situation is, I didn't get to see him, but knowing he's here - great.”
A much-changed Shrewsbury side continued their fine form with a 2-1 win courtesy of Michael Golding and Jeval Thompson-McKenzie goals.
The latter, in stoppage time, was a first senior goal. There were also first-team debuts for Jay Snook and Jayden Rattray, as well as starts for Hugo Aiston, 16, and Ollie Hall, 17.
Cowan added: "I'm sure if there's prospective buyers of the football club then they will be watching every move, every game, every minute and every interview.
"If I was buying a football club then I'd certainly be doing that.
"So I don't think that would be any different for them. But I think what he will be very buoyant about, if they end up buying the football club, is we have some very good youngsters coming through. So that's good."
