Welshpool man's body found by landlord undertaking house maintenance

A Polish man was found dead at his home by his landlord undertaking maintenance.

Sebastian Rosiak, 43, died on July 24 2025 at Malthouse Court, Berriew Street, Welshpool.

An inquest into his death was opened on October 10 2025 and it was adjourned.

A full inquest resumed on Friday, August 28 at Pontypridd Coroner's Court by His Majesty's Coroner Patricia Morgan in the South Wales Central Coroner Area

Ms Morgan said the medical cause of death was unascertained.

She heard that Mr Rosiak had a known history of alcoholism.

On July 24 2025, Mr Rosiak's landlord gained entry to his property at Malthouse Court, Berriew Street, Welshpool, Powys, to undertake maintenance.

Mr Rosiak was discovered inside the property deceased, in an advanced stage of decomposition.

A post mortem examination was unable to establish an exact medical cause of his death. However, it is likely that he died due to the complications of chronic drug use.

Ms Morgan provisionally concluded that Mr Rosiak's death was alcohol related.

Mr Rosiak was born on January 3 1982 in Poland.
