South Shropshire town prepares for its ‘party in the park’
Bishop’s Castle Party in the Park returns on Saturday.
A popular family-friendly event returns to a South Shropshire park at the weekend with a host of music and entertainment.
Bishop’s Castle Party in the Park returns on Saturday with artists performing between 1pm and 10.30pm. It’s a not-to-be-missed, great value festival of live music, food, drink, stalls and activities for residents and visitors.
A spokesperson for the event said: “With exciting new and returning bands, a fresh variety of food stalls and brand-new activities for kids, Bishop’s Castle Party in the Park is the best value one-day festival in Shropshire.
“It’s also a charity event, organised by volunteers in aid of supporting local up-and-coming bands, giving them the opportunity to build their stage experience. Many original Party in the Park bands are now playing big venues with great success.
“We have a brilliant music line-up, guaranteed to get everyone up on their feet. It includes Packet Racket, The Mink, Joe Le Taxi, Fight the Bear, Suckle, Sean Gaffney, Woke Mind Virus, Gauche and Connie.
“As well as the live bands there’s lots to keep everyone happy. New for 2026, we have children’s entertainers Stories in Motion – interactive storytelling that sings, dances and plays - plus face painting and instrument making. There are a wide variety of food vans, a bar, stalls, party accessories and festival merchandise.
“We are very grateful for the support of our sponsors Adventure Cinema, The Dylan Price Foundation, and Charles Ransford and Son.”
