Kitchen fire hits Shropshire activity centre

Firefighters were called to a blaze at a Shropshire activity centre in the early hours of today.
Six fire engines were sent to the fire at PGL Boreatton Park activity centre, near Baschurch, which left its kitchen out of action.
The crews from Oswestry and Shrewsbury, along with the light pumping unit, were called at about 4.30am.
Staff and guests were not evacuated from the building as the fire was brought under control quickly.
Sarah Reynolds, from PGL Travel Ltd, said: "Night duty staff became aware of smoke from the kitchen at Boreatton Park at about 4.30am.
"The fire brigade was notified and attended and the fire was brought under control quickly.
"It was not necessary to evacuate guests or staff and there are no injuries to any guests, staff or visitors.
"There is no damage to any building or infrastructure other than to the kitchen. However, the kitchen is temporarily out of action whilst we assess the smoke damage and ascertain when we can reopen it.
"We have already made alternative arrangements and served breakfast to all staff and guests this morning. Arrangements are being made for all other meals.
"There will be no impact on activity programmes or accommodation for our guests already in residence or those due to arrive and we look forward to continuing to provide a great experience for all our guests this week."
A spokesman for Baschurch Fire Station said: "At approximately 4.30am this morning Baschurch were alerted to a kitchen fire at PGL along with Shrewsbury and Oswestry.
"On arrival there was a lot of smoke issuing.
"The fire was brought under control very quickly by two firefighters. Ventilation of the whole property took place. Luckily no-one was hurt at this incident.
"Fire investigation is being carried out to find the cause. Police and ambulance were also in attendance."
Crews left at about 6am.
