Shrewsbury Nationwide back open after town centre power cut
A building society in Shrewsbury town centre was shut this morning with no power.
Nationwide, on the corner of Bellstone and Claremont Street, remained closed to customers on Monday morning after staff discovered there was no power in the building.
The branch's cash machine was also unavailable and the shutters on the entrance remained shut.
A handwritten sign in the window said an engineer was on the way to repair the problem and the branch reopened at 9.40am.
Nationwide apologised to customers for any inconvenience.
