Independent womenswear brand to open new store in Shrewsbury

Busby & Fox will launch only its second site in the West Midlands in the county town this weekend

An independent retailer of women's fashion is opening a new store in Shrewsbury town centre this week.

Busby & Fox will launch its latest outlet next to the Museum & Art Gallery in The Square on Friday (November 6).

The company was founded in Devon in 2014 by Emma Vowles and is an independent womenswear brand which creates its own-label collection, designed on the concept that every item goes with everything else.

The new Shrewsbury venue is only the group's second in the West Midlands, its 15th across England and Wales and the fourth new launch in 2026.

It will be open seven days a week.

The first 10 customers who visit the store each day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will receive a surprise gift and a gift card while a complimentary drink and a brownie will be available to all shoppers over the three days.

Customers will also be able to explore a specially curated 'Shrewsbury edit' of products inspired by the new shop's location overlooking the town's historic Square.

Ms Vowles said: "We're so excited to be opening store number 15.

"We've found the perfect home for Busby & Fox in The Square and we're thrilled to join this thriving community in such a beautiful, historic market town.

"I'll be there for the opening; if you're passing do pop in and say hello and join the celebrations."
