Pub lovers across West Midlands urged to nominate their local as best in country
Pub goers can nominate their local as one of the best 100 pubs in the country as a major campaign returns.
The search is on for the best pubs in the country as a major campaign returns for 2026.
The Good Food Guide is asking for pub goers across the region to get involved and nominate their local for the Best Pubs 2026 campaign, which sees pubs across the UK voted for by the pub and then judged by a panel of experts.
Following the judging process, a top 100 list is issued by the Good Food Guide, with the 2026 awards being run in partnership with Timothy Taylor’s Landlord.
The Old Wharf Inn in Stourbridge was named 33rd on the list in 2025 and the Good Food Guide is offering a prize for people to encourage them to make a nomination.
A spokesman for Good Food Guide said: “The search for Britain’s Best Pubs 2026 has begun.
“Good Food Guide’s Best Pubs 2026 campaign, in partnership with Timothy Taylor’s Landlord, is back and we need your help to discover the very best local pubs across the country.
“We’re looking for the kind of place that feels like a true local: serving beautifully kept real ales, great food and a warm welcome.
“It’s a pub you’re proud to recommend, and one that keeps you coming back time and again.
“Give your favourite local pub the recognition it deserves and tell us about it here.
“You’ll be in with a chance to win £250 worth of vouchers, redeemable at a Good Food Guide pub of your choice.”
Nominations close at 11:59pm on Thursday, August 13 and can be made at the Good Food Guide website.
