Shropshire Star

Idyllic scene little different from today

This picture postcard, which was loaned to the Shropshire Star by collector Ray Farlow, shows the village of Ash Parva, near Whitchurch, as it looked in March, 1907. The picture, produced by J R Crosse of Whitchurch, is remarkably similar to how it looks today, although thankfully people no longer have to go to the village duck pond to collect water.
