'Eagle-eyed' member of public helps find stolen woodchipper - but one remains missing
One of the woodchippers remains outstanding.
Police have thanked an ‘eagle-eyed’ member of the public for recovering a stolen woodchipper - but one remains outstanding.
Bridgnorth Police said two woodchippers and tools were stolen during an overnight burglary in the Monkhopton area.
They added that officers from South Shropshire SNT, alongside the Rural Crime Team, carried out enquiries to locate the stolen property.
Following information from what was described as an “eagle-eyed member of the public”, PC Strangwood and PC Lall attended the Coalport area, where one of the stolen woodchippers had been found dumped.
The machine and some tools were recovered and returned to the owner.
Officer said enquiries to locate the second outstanding woodchipper are ongoing.
