Sohail Sattar, 20, from Priorslee, was acquitted of four charges in relation to the allegations.

Following a trial at Shrewsbury Crown Court on April 19 he was found not guilty of charges including meeting a girl under the age of 16 following grooming, two counts of engaging in sexual activity, with a girl aged between 13 and 15 and detaining a child removing them from a person having lawful control.

The offences were alleged to have happened in Telford between March and May 2015.

Mr Sattar, of Priorslee, told the Shropshire Star: "The main thing I want everyone to know is that the charges didn’t match what happened as the sexual activity charge was over one kiss. That’s all the evidence they had and the girl said I didn't touch her and didn’t want the police involved."
