Firefighters were called to a building fire in the early hours of Friday morning after a hatchback vehicle caught fire and the blaze spread to a detached garage on Ironbridge Road, Broseley.

The incident was reported at 12:55am.

Fire crews, working alongside the West Midlands Ambulance Service and police, tackled the fire using two hose reel jets.

The fire involved one hatchback vehicle, with flames spreading from the vehicle to a detached garage.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “ We were called by fire colleagues to a property fire on Ironbridge Road in Broseley at 1.21am and sent an ambulance to the scene.

“On arrival, crews found a man who they assessed but he did not require further treatment and so was given self-care advice and discharged at the scene. “

The cause of the fire is being investigated by fire investigation officers.
