Cloudy skies and forecasts of heavy rain could not deter the massive crowds which had begun massing at the site on the Shropshire-Staffordshire border on Thursday. Muse top the bill at Hylands Park and The Verve headline at Weston Park today but the entire line-up swops venues overnight.

The festival, now in its 13th year, sold out in just 90 minutes when tickets went on sale in March and organisers say they have laid on a varied line-up of acts including Stereophonics, The Kooks, Kings of Leon, Girls Aloud, Will Young, Roots Manuva, Guillemots, Ian Brown, Estelle and The Zutons.

The Chemical Brothers and Amy Winehouse are also billed to appear.
