A5 delays after crash outside Shrewsbury

There are delays on one of the county’s busiest routes after a crash.
Traffic was backing up on the A5, between the Preston Boats Island and the Emstrey Island after a crash on the south-west-bound carriageway.
One car had crashed off the side of the route and had come to a rest in the trees and bushes of the side of the busy road.
A lorry had also stopped in the left-hand carriageway, along with another vehicle, leaving drivers having to use the right-hand lane.
Traffic on the opposite carriageway was also backed up almost to the Emstrey Roundabout.
