Little Lambs Playgroup meets at Pantydwr Village Hall every Tuesday from 1.30pm to 3pm, during term time.

They contacted Rhayader Town Council and asked for a grant to pay for some toys for the children.

They said they were arranging a Christmas event for the under five year-olds who would soon be going to attend the primary school. They said 30 children would be attending and they asked for £150 to £200 to pay for a present for them.

Rhayader Mayor Councillor Clare Evans said the toys are not for the educational space to keep for future children to use, these would be toys to give to individual children.

Councillors agreed that it is not within their funding criteria to be able to pay for the toys as they cannot fund individuals.
