Jailed: Telford drug addict failed to attend rehab days and turned to theft
A Telford drug addict who stole £230 worth of jeans and perfume had not gone to any of the drug rehabilitation days that she had been ordered by a court.

Her solicitor said that Michelle Humphrey's ongoing hospital appointments following her diagnosis of cervical cancer had prevented her from attending many of them.
She was spotted on CCTV putting the jeans into a foil-lined bag on the afternoon of September 24 and attempting to leave Debenhams in Telford Town Centre before she was stopped by security.
Humphrey, 32, of Bembridge, Brookside, admitted one charge of theft and another of going equipped for theft when she appeared at Telford Magistrates Court on Friday.
Mrs Kelly Crowe, prosecuting, said that the offences put Humphrey in breach of an eight-week prison sentence for offences of theft, going equipped for theft and resisting a police officer, which was issued on August 29 but suspended for one year.
Miss Shahnaz Dean for Humphrey, said that her client had a long history of drug abuse and had recently suffered the trauma of being diagnosed with cervical cancer while pregnant and refusing treatment until she had had the baby who was immediately taken into care.
"Emotionally she's been extremely stressed out," said Miss Dean.
Magistrates activated the suspended sentence and sentenced Humphrey to a concurrent eight-week sentence for the two new offences.
