Victim is tied to chair in Telford robbery

Two men tied a 21-year-old victim to a chair and assaulted him during a robbery in Telford.

Police have launched an investigation into the attack at a home on Wealdstone in Woodside.

It took place on Friday, July 31 between 12.10am and 1am.

The two offenders kicked the door down and once inside they tied the 21-year-old victim to a chair and assaulted him before making a search of the address.

They stole a variety of electronic equipment including a television, game consoles, music player, small amount of cash and a debit card.

One of the offenders was described as black, in his late 20s to early 30s, 6ft 3ins, with a grey stripe on his chin, a scar on his left eyebrow, a suspected broken nose and had a Wolverhampton or West Midlands accent.

He was believed to be wearing a light green bandana with a white vest over a long sleeved black t-shirt, grey jogging bottoms and a thin gold necklace.

The second man was also described as black, around 5ft 11ins, 18 to 19, and wore a brown Ralph Lauren baseball cap, black Nike hoody and dark tracksuit bottoms.

PC Mark Walker said: "We have followed a number of lines of enquiries since this incident was reported to us, but we are now appealing for the public's help.

"This was an isolated incident so there is not believed to be any wider threat to the local community.

"If anyone saw anything to do with the incident, or they know who did this, I would urge them to call 101."
