Telford drugs swoop defendants in court
Six men and two women, who were among more than 30 people arrested during raids in Telford and Wolverhampton in May, have appeared in court facing charges relating to the supply of drugs
At Birmingham Crown Court yesterday Daniel Lloyd Burns, 36, pleaded guilty to two charges of conspiring to supply heroin and crack cocaine on dates between March 2013 and May this year
Judge Simon Drew adjourned sentence for reports and Burns, of Crescent Road, Hadley, Telford, was remanded in custody.
Also in the dock were Christopher Reece, 28, and Melissa Lyn Harvey-Trustam, 24, both of Wedgewood Crescent, Ketley, Telford, and Fiona Lockwood, 31, of Pool Meadow, Hadley, Telford.
All three defendants face allegations of conspiring to supply heroin and crack cocaine between March last year and May this year.
The case was adjourned until July 18 and Reece and Lockwood were remanded in custody. Harvey-Trustam was allowed bail with conditions of curfew and no contact with Reece.
Two Wolverhampton men admitted being involved in supplying quantities of crack cocaine and heroin in the Telford area.
Jermaine Adam Saa, 23, and Jemyle Colin Williams, 24, pleaded guilty to five joint charges of supplying drugs on dates in April and May last year.
Williams also admitted two further charges of being in possession of crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply in May this year.
Saa also pleaded guilty to supplying heroin or crack cocaine on five different occasions in April last year.
He also admitted an offence of producing cannabis, but denied a charge of being in possession of criminal property - £6,500 in cash recovered by police from his home.
Judge Drew adjourned the case until October and Saa, of Marksbury Close, Dunstall, Wolverhampton, and Williams, of Farndale Avenue, Whitmore Reans, Wolverhampton, were both remanded in custody.
Karl Humphry, 20, pleaded guilty to four charges of supplying cannabis on dates between November 2012 and February last year.
He also admitted two charges of offering to supply cannabis and being in possession of the drug with intent to supply in November last year.
Humphry, of Downemead, Hollinswood, Telford, also pleaded guilty to being in possession of a Stanley knife. Sentence was adjourned until August and Humphry was remanded in custody.
James Stuart Marston, 22, admitted two charges of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin and a charge of offering to supply cannabis in October, 2012.
Sentence was adjourned for reports until August and Marston, formerly of Brereton, Brookside, Telford, and now of Rhos Road, Rhos-on-Sea, Colwyn Bay, was allowed bail.
A further 18 people, arrested by West Mercia police as part of Operation Sift in May, are due before the crown court later this week.
