A Shropshire healthcare manufacturer has expanded its offer after securing an exclusive UK distribution agreement with an Italian company.

Telford-based Serchem will distribute Gandy endoscope reprocessing products for Milan outfit Nuova SB System.

The Gandy range, manufactured by Nuova SB System in Italy, has been designed to support healthcare providers in improving safety, consistency, efficiency and traceability.

The deal includes a drying and storage cabinet, designed to support the high-level disinfection and sterilisation, storage and traceability of endoscopes within busy healthcare environments.

Serchem manufactures and supplies specialist decontamination and hygiene chemistry to healthcare providers in the UK and internationally.

Director Oliver Wadlow said the partnership represented another important step in the company's continued investment in healthcare equipment and technical support.

"We're delighted to strengthen our relationship with Nuova SB System and become the exclusive UK distributor for Gandy.

"We've already seen excellent feedback from hospitals using the Gandy automated endoscope pre-cleaning system so this latest expansion of the range we will have available is a very natural progression for us.

"This has deepened our relationship with Nuova and enabled Serchem to expand our equipment range even further, allowing us to support healthcare providers with more integrated endoscopy decontamination solutions.

"Healthcare providers are under increasing pressure to improve efficiency, consistency and traceability across endoscope reprocessing and the Gandy technology supports departments in achieving exactly that.

"We work closely with healthcare teams to help develop complete decontamination solutions, combining specialist chemistry, equipment, technical support and training. This partnership further strengthens our ability to support endoscopy and sterile services teams across the UK."
