Veterans invited to Remembrance Day lunch at Much Wenlock care home
Wheatlands Care Home is inviting local veterans to enjoy a roast lunch and live music with residents on November 11
Veterans are being invited to join residents and staff at a Much Wenlock care home for a special Remembrance Day lunch and afternoon of entertainment.

Wheatlands Care Home, on Southfield Road, will host the event on Wednesday, November 11, with a traditional roast lunch followed by live music featuring songs from the 1940s onwards.
The event aims to bring together veterans and residents to remember those who have served in the Armed Forces and share memories through music and conversation.
Paula Wiggan said: “Remembrance Day is a very special occasion for us all. We want to show our appreciation to the brave men and women who have served our country, and what better way than to welcome them into our home for a lovely roast lunch, wonderful music and good company.
“We would be absolutely delighted to welcome local veterans to spend this special day with our residents. It’s our way of saying thank you for your service.”
The event will begin at 12.45pm. Places may be limited, and veterans wishing to attend are asked to contact the care home in advance on 01905 728497 or email [email protected].
