The store is being opened in a refurbished Poundstretcher unit
B&M has confirmed the opening date for its latest giant store which will be creating 45 new jobs.
The discount retailer is taking over the former Poundstretcher site on Pool Road in Newtown.

The firm has been refurbishing the unit ahead of the opening, which takes place at 9am on Saturday, November 7.
As well as food, drink, pet food, health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts and more, the site will also include a 6,603sq ft garden centre.
B&M said giveaways and entertainment are planned for opening day.

A statement from the company said: “B&M is delighted to announce the opening of its brand-new store at Pool Road, Newtown, bringing fantastic value, big brands and exciting ranges to even more customers.
“The new store has also created 45 jobs for the local area.”
B&M said the new store has been designed to offer customers “a bright, modern and enjoyable shopping experience, with clear product displays and an easy-to-navigate layout”.
It added: “The store will also feature self-checkout tills, giving customers greater flexibility and convenience when completing their shop, alongside a brand-new frozen food department, bringing even more choice to B&M’s extensive grocery range.

“Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries for the best possible price, including food, drink and pet food. There will also be a fantastic selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts and plenty more to explore.
“The store will also boast its own 6,603sqft garden centre, selling hundreds of plant varieties and offering everything customers need to make the most of their outdoor spaces.”
On the opening morning the first 30 customers through the doors can take part in a lucky dip to win £5 and £10 B&M vouchers, while a ‘Spin to Win’ competition will run from 9am to 5pm with branded goodies from Haribo Goldbears, Swizzels, Mattel, Mars, Applied Nutrition and more up for grabs.
A live DJ will keep the celebrations going throughout the day.
The firm also said that a local charity has been chosen to benefit from the opening - and help with proceedings on the day.
A statement from B&M said: “Colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do in the community. They chose Powys Animal Welfare to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M store, with the charity also receiving a £250 B&M voucher as a thank you for their work.”
Powys Animal Welfare has been supporting animals and pet owners in the local community since 2002, providing care, advice and practical support to those in need.
The registered charity helps a wide range of animals and has a particular focus on supporting elderly people with their pets, including providing help during hospital stays or when owners are no longer able to care for their animals.
The store’s new manager said: “Powys Animal Welfare really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
