A stage adaptation of the much-loved BBC sitcom will bring Tom and Barbara Good’s unconventional lifestyle to Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant
A popular BBC sitcom is being brought to the stage in Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, with performances of The Good Life taking place in November.

Tanat Theatre will host the stage adaptation of the much-loved comedy, adapted by Jeremy Sams.
The story follows Tom Good, who decides to abandon the rat race and turn his suburban garden into a self-sufficient smallholding.
With his wife Barbara’s support, he embraces a new way of life growing vegetables and keeping livestock, much to the amusement and frustration of their neighbours, Margo and Jerry Leadbetter.

The production promises a nostalgic return to the world of the popular television series, which starred Richard Briers, Felicity Kendal, Penelope Keith and Paul Eddington.
Performances will take place at 7.30pm on November 13, 14, 20 and 21, with matinee performances at 3.30pm on November 15 and 22.
The venue is Tanat Theatre at The Green School Little Theatre in Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant.

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for under-16s.
They are available from Greatorex Stores and The Paper Shop in Llanrhaeadr, Siop Eirianfa in Penybontfawr and Upstairs Downstairs in Oswestry.
Tickets can also be booked by emailing [email protected] or calling or messaging Izzy on 07850 185750.
Doors open 30 minutes before each performance. The theatre is a cash-only venue.
