A £300 donation will help Sparta FC replace goalposts and keep local youngsters playing football
An Ironbridge football club has received a £300 donation to help replace goalposts at one of its pitches.

Sparta FC received the donation from housebuilder David Wilson Homes, helping ensure local youngsters can continue playing on the club's pitches.
The club has 25 girls' and boys' teams, ranging from its under-six minis through to under-16s, with volunteers providing young players with affordable opportunities to take part in football.
Zoe Broome, chair of Sparta FC, said: "We want to send a big thank you to David Wilson Homes for this donation and for supporting our club and teams."
She added that the club aims to provide "safe and affordable access to football for young people", with volunteers focused on player development and enjoyment.

Georgina Hall, senior sales manager at David Wilson Homes Mercia, said the company was "proud to support community organisations like Sparta FC".
"Grassroots football is essential to communities as it fosters a fantastic support network for members to enhance their skills while building new relationships," she added.
