Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club is sharing the money between six organisations and community causes, with Grange School receiving the largest donation
Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club is donating £3,700 to six organisations and community causes following a series of requests for support.

The biggest donation, totalling £1,500, will go to Grange School, which has received long-standing support from the club.
Of this, £500 will help buy a Christmas book for every pupil, while a further £1,000 will go towards cleaning, painting and preparing an outdoor area, as well as buying furniture, mats and toys to support children developing early years learning skills.
Head teacher Charlie Summers said the donation would make a real difference to the opportunities available to pupils.
She said: "We are incredibly grateful to Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club for this generous donation of £1,500. Their long-standing support of Grange School continues to make a real difference to the opportunities we can provide for our children.
"The funding will enable us to purchase a Christmas book for every pupil and contribute towards improvements to our outdoor learning environment, helping us to enrich children's experiences and foster a love of reading and learning."
Other donations agreed by the club include £500 for Music Therapy in Shropshire, £250 for Community Resources to help people with hearing difficulties and £300 for the Rotary International Toy Box Appeal for children in the UK.
A further £800 will support two candidates taking part in Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), while £100 will go to Shrewsbury College cookery students and £250 to the 4 All Foundation.
Vice-president Joycelin Hoyland, who chaired the meeting at which the donations were agreed, praised members for their fundraising efforts.
She said: "I am extremely gratified with the hard work of my fellow Rotarians in raising the funds, which has enabled us to support so many local and national good causes.
"This is what Rotary is all about – 'service above self' in supporting community and national projects."
