Double Winter Olympic champion Shaun White qualified for next month’s Pyeongchang Games in style by scoring a perfect 100 at the US Grand Prix

Snowboard superstar Shaun White has scored the second perfect 100 of his career.

Snowboard superstar Shaun White scored only the second perfect 100 of his career as he qualified for the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in style this weekend.

American White, a double Olympic half-pipe champion and 13-times Winter X Games winner, nailed his routine at the US Grand Prix in Snowmass, Colorado.

White, nicknamed ‘The Flying Tomato’, had needed 62 stitches in a facial wound after crashing during a half-pipe routine in New Zealand in October.

White scored his previous perfect score in a SuperPipe competition at the Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado in 2012.
