Shrewsbury Town’s Isle of Man Festival kick-off times confirmed
Travel plans force an early kick-off for Shrewsbury on Sunday.
Kick-off times for Shrewsbury Town’s matches at the Isle of Man Summer Festival of Football have been confirmed.
Salop begin their participation in the tournament against National League North side Radcliffe on Friday, with kick-off scheduled for 3.30pm.
They will then face either FC Isle of Man or Bury in Sunday’s final or third-place play-off.
Regardless of Friday’s result, Shrewsbury’s second match will kick off at 11am because of the club’s travel arrangements.
A statement from hosts FC Isle of Man said: “Due to Shrewsbury Town’s travel arrangements, they will play in the 11am fixture on Sunday, July 19, regardless of Friday’s results. The remaining two teams will then compete in the afternoon fixture.
“Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to welcoming you to Ballacloan Stadium for a fantastic weekend of football.”
The festival is being held in Ramsey, the island’s second-largest town, in the north of the Isle of Man.
The matches will be Shrewsbury’s second and third outings of pre-season after Tuesday’s goalless draw with Stafford Rangers.
Boss Gavin Cowan said members of his squad will get another 90 minutes under their belts, with players expected to play 45 minutes in each game, as they did against Stafford, when two different XIs were fielded across the two halves.
