Shrewsbury Town boss admits he 'can’t wait' for transfer window to end
The Shrewsbury Town boss delivered an honest transfer window verdict.
Shrewsbury Town boss Gavin Cowan admitted he “can’t wait” for the hectic transfer window to come to an end.
The Town manager said the window has dominated his life in recent months as he worked to rebuild his squad for the new campaign.
The window closes tonight at 11pm, shortly after Town face Rochdale in League Two, and Cowan is looking forward to the madness finally being over.
“It's been the most mental 10 weeks to be honest,” he told the Star.

“I can’t wait for it to be over, because it has literally dominated every area of my life.
“But in order to be comfortable, seek the uncomfortable. You’ve got to be uncomfortable by asking questions and pressing and probing and dealing with agents and other football clubs.
“Yeah, don’t be a manager if you want to have an easy life.”
Town have welcomed 11 recruits this summer, with a double loan swoop on Monday further strengthening Cowan’s options.
They also retained defenders Josh Ruffels and Luca Hoole earlier in the summer.
This summer has marked Cowan’s first full transfer window in the EFL, having taken charge in late January with just days remaining of the mid-season window.
