The 31-year-old England international has joined the Clarets for an undisclosed fee on an initial two-year deal, joining Tom Heaton and Nick Pope at Turf Moor.

Hart started his career at the Meadow, featuring more than 50 times in blue and amber before signing for Manchester City in 2006 for £600,000.

He fell out of favour at the Etihad under Pep Guardiola, spending time on-loan at Torino followed by an unsuccessful temporary stint with West Ham last season.

He's now departed on a permanent basis as he looks to fight his way back into England contention, having missed out on the World Cup squad this summer.
