Telford non-league club appoint new manager

Telford Town have appointed a new boss after parting ways with Shaun Ralph just weeks into the new season.

Telford Town have appointed Mike Dunn as their new first-team manager.

Dunn takes charge having previously managed Bilston Town, where he spent three years before leaving at the end of the 2024/25 season.

Prior to that, Dunn spent eight years at Rushall Olympic, enjoying success with the club’s youth teams.

He will now look to guide Telford up the North West Counties League Division One South table. Town currently sit 12th, with one win from their opening six games.

“I’m absolutely delighted to be given the opportunity to manage Telford Town,” Dunn said.

“The club is very ambitious and that’s totally wasted without stability. I’m tried and tested at stabilising, helping grow and bringing standards to a club, by simply setting them.

“It’s always a challenge going in somewhere but, I’ve done it before and it’s a club I’m massively looking forward to managing at. I’ve been working hard behind the scenes and aiming to galvanise a talented group of players, I feel lucky to have.”

Dunn’s appointment comes after the club parted ways with Shaun Ralph just weeks into the new season. He will be assisted by Ryan Westley and Dom Heath.

Telford drew 2-2 with Brereton Social on Saturday, with Dunn set to take charge for the first time when Town visit Crewe next weekend.

Co-chairman Jonathan Stone said: “Mike is someone we know well and a manager with a strong understanding of non-league football. He shares our ambition for the club and, importantly, understands what we are trying to build here both on and off the pitch.

“We believe Mike is the right person to take this group forward and continue the progress the club has made. He’ll have our full backing, and we’re excited to see him get to work.”
