'Ringo' shows he is a master of the ring after switching gyms
Abdulhallem ‘Ringo’ Hussain was in action at The Anstice.
A change of gyms appears to have done Abdulhallem ‘Ringo’ Hussain some good.

He joined Telford Amateur Boxing Club during the summer after back-to-back losses and the 22-year-old middleweight marked his debut for them with a stoppage win in the plush surroundings of The Anstice.
Beneath the chandeliers, he stopped Daniel Townsend (Epic Golden Gloves) in the last round.
From the opening seconds, Hussain found the gaps in Townsend’s defences.
Townsend took his punches well and then tested Hussain’s chin with a clean right hand.
‘Ringo’ had to use the ring for a few seconds after shipping the shot and once he had regrouped, he tore into Townsend, driving him to the ropes and unloading on him to finish the round on top.
By the closing moments of the second, Townsend was fading and Hussain sent him back to his stool at the bell on rubbery legs with a cuffing right.
Hussain went for the stoppage in the last and pumped out punches in threes and fours to force two standing counts and the referee waved the bout off.
The Best Boxer trophy went to Telford schoolboy Logan Wilkinson after he unanimously outpointed Kadon Smith (Trowbridge), Patrick McDonagh showed some moments of quality in his victory over Kaliveti Sokoveta (Rainworth and Blidworth) that included some ferocious toe-to-toe exchanges and teenage powerhouse Fareed Karim Deen didn’t need the judges.
Yona Hamed (Darlaston) couldn’t keep him off and the towel came in during the second round.
The Corbett family had an afternoon to remember as brother and sister Ronnie and Renae both won.
Ronnie (10) was soon catching Teddy Eley (Burton) with jabs and left hooks and went on to win unanimously, while Renae (11) landed pinpoint long punches from her southpaw stance against Charlie Preedy (City of Hereford) to force a first-round stoppage.
