Vital transport service to East Midlands Airport suspended for the winter

Bus services are set to stop this winter

A vital transport service is set to stop at midlands airport this winter.

East Midlands Airport has announced that bus services are set to stop this winter due to fewer customers.

Jet Parks buses are set to stop operating on November 2 and long stay buses will stop operating on November 8.

A spokesperson for East Midlands Airport said: “We don't use our remote car parking over the winter when we have fewer customers due to reduced flight schedules.

“We therefore suspend the shuttle bus service every winter. All the remaining car parks are walkable, but those who need it can get support from our assisted travel team.”

Both of the services are set to return closer to summer 2027

“The shuttle bus service and JetParks options will resume as always when customer numbers increase again from April,” the spokesperson added.
